Research
Hey cole what's your NHD topic on?
Oh, well my topic is on Child labor in the British Industrial Revolution. In my topic identification thing that we had to do for history I talked about how the children were treated and taken advantage of. It was pretty awful. I mean can you imagine having to work for like 12 hour days all the time with barely any payment?! (informal)
My topic for the National History Day topic is on Child labor in the British Industrial Revolution. I focus a lot on the treatment and ages of the children who were working in factories at the time. As changes started to occur the age of the children working went from a low age of eight to a higher age of around 15. This dramatic change has stuck around even today. Most people around the ages of 15/16 are having to get jobs in order to buy things that they desire or to pay for gas for their transportation on a daily basis. (formal)

NHD Project
My NHD project is on The British industrial revolution and
its brutal exploitation of children led to the English Reform Movement, which
ultimately led to the understanding of what a childhood meant.I found this topic particularly interesting because i think that it's fascinating to learn about the hardships that children went through; it makes me look at my personal life and I realize how lucky I am.
This week I am revising my annotated Bibliography and I am going to try and get a good chunk of my notecards completed.

How is Ninth Grade English different from Eighth Grade English?
I'd have to say that ninth grade English is a lot harder than Eighth Grade English. A lot of it has to do with annotating. In Eighth grade we didn't have to annotate as thoroughly as we do in Ninth Grade. Also, We did a lot less writing in Eighth Grade. Last year I didn't Really have to do much of anything in order to prepare for an English test or Exam, and this I have realized that I have to if I want to pass the class.
