SPRING BREAK!

Over spring break I went to New York. On the plane ride there I had to read my book for history which was a bummer because I wanted to watch a movie and listen to music but you gotta do what you gotta do.  When we finally landed it was 45 minute drive to the hotel and my brother got sick, not so fun. When we FINALLY got to the hotel all was well and he was better. We went to eat at the oyster bar in Grand Central Station, I had forgotten how good it was.

The next day we were there we went shopping and walked around in Grand Central Park. Afterwards we ate at an Italian restaurant called Lupa. It was so delicious, even though the meal took us 2 hours… It was worth it. The next day we went to a museum… not my idea. But after a long day we ate at this amazing sushi place! It was safe to say it was the best sushi place i've ever had! it was sad to go but i'm also glad to be home.

Response to Quotes

"Ambition is a positive, desirable trait in a person."

I agree with the statement above, to an extent. In Macbeth, Macbeth, wants to be king so badly that he is willing to kill the current king in order to achieve his goal. I think that ambition, if not taken to far, is a good thing and is what makes up human desire. If people had no ambition then we would not have things like: Apple computers, I-pods, Canes, etc. Ambition is what drives us towards things, it is what makes us want to do better; without it we would have nothing.

"Everyone is capable of lying, betrayal, and violence, which are basic parts of human nature."

Everyone is capable of lying, betrayal and violence, it is up to the person to decide weather or not to act upon the desire to do so. All of those things are available to each and every person and can be grasped at any time however, depending on the moral standard that one has set for him or herself they may choose to ignore the urge to lie, betray or act in a violent manner. So, I do believe that lying, betrayal and violence are basic parts of human nature but I don't think that everyone acts in such a way.
